Truly one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Brad and I got out early to catch the morning light on a field behind his house. Brad attempted to play his guitar but his fingers soon froze. Once the sun came up we looked for shots in the sun to warm up as my toes felt like solid ice. Once we warmed up, Brad gave me one of his Elvis impersonations. Here are a few of my favorites.

Matt Fuhr - One session I won't soon forget
Marginal way skate park in south Seattle is built by skaters under the viaduct. We went there on a Sunday morning so we would have the place to ourselves. It turns out that we had to share the place with another photographer (interesting story that you will have to ask me or Matt about). Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Alyssa and Rodney - Homecoming
It is incredible how fast kids grow up. Alyssa and Rodney stopped off at home for a couple of quick pictures on their way to Homecoming. Thanks guys.
Tank - the wild kitten
Someone found Tank at the end of a cull-de-sac. Not more than a few days old, we took on the task of bottle feeding him back to life. Now, almost six weeks old, he is one healthy wild kitten. Here are a few images of Tank doing what he does best - pouncing on anything that moves - or doesn't move.

Courtney and Blaze
Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful early fall day. We headed down to Flaming Gyeser park for Courtney's senior pictures with Blaze. I have used the park before for horse pictures and have always had the park to ourselves. This time however, the RC airport was in full use and the park was full of people hiking, fishing, and floating down the river. We even got kicked out of one area by the Park Police. With loud little airplanes buzzing overhead and people everywhere, it was a challenge to keep things low key. Courtney was awesome and had a great attitude - she would put on a smile and her go for it attitude.
Here are some of my favorites - More Pictures
I also found some images of Courtney and Blaze competing last year - More

Equestrian Institute Horse Trials - Favs 1
Tons of images from this past week end's show. So many images that I have chosen a random selection of images to post here and will continue posting more over the next several days.
The day started out so foggy that I could barely see the horses at the other end of the dressage arena. By the middle of the day the fog had burned off and it was a beautiful Sept. day in the Puget Sound. We had 9 riders in our little group and they all did fantastic.

A new crop of hooligans
We have owned Stoneybrook stables for almost 16 years now. Every couple of years a new group of girls discover horses and start boarding at our stables. It is so cool to watch these kids learn about horses, graduate high school, graduate college, get married... grow up. Macy is just one of this next group of kids that will be graduating college and getting married in way too short of time. Expect a lot more pictures of Macy and the other girls that make up this new crop of hooligans.

Young Riders Horse Trials
Stephanie convinced Anne to let Gwen come out of retirement and start competing again. Gwen is in her mid twenties, but still fit and sharp. On cross country Gwen was locking on to all the big jumps and it took some heavy-handed convincing to get her to jump the smaller training level fences.

Sarah and David's Wedding - June 21, 2008
What a great wedding! I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. David and Sarah are deeply in love and it shows.
Because I am a father to three girls, I am always moved by the interactions between the father and the bride. Dave (Sarah's dad) gave an emotional heart felt toast that described what it means to be a dad and how much our daughters mean to us in our lives. I think the image below is my favorite image of the night. Not because it is a great artistic image, rather because this image captures the raw pride and love Sarah has for her dad. If my daughters ever look at me like this, I will just burst with pride. Dave, you did something right.
There are three galleries: 1. engagement shoot. 2. 15 favorites from the wedding. 3. everything else.
